“THE CHALLENGE” (the “Site”) is a non-commercial, fan-run community project celebrating deep dungeon conquests in FINAL FANTASY XIV. It’s not a business, but since logging in and submitting conquests means we handle a bit of your information, this page explains what we do with it.

What We Collect

When you log in with Discord

Discord user ID, username, avatar URL, role info within our server

When you submit a conquest

Character name, data center and world
Dungeon type, mission, completion date/time
Screenshots and video URLs
Twitter (X) URL (optional)
Free-text comments

Collected automatically

IP address, browser info, access logs, cookies

How We Use It

Authenticating your login
Reviewing and approving conquest submissions
Publishing on the Hall of Fame page
Sending approval/rejection notifications (including Discord DMs)
Detecting fraudulent submissions
Basic site analytics for improvements

We don’t sell or share your personal info with third parties. That said, approved conquest info (character name, screenshots, videos, etc.) is publicly displayed on the Hall of Fame page, so please understand that submitting means publishing.

Third-Party Services

We rely on these services to run the Site:

Discord — login, notifications, community management
Cloudflare Workers / D1 / R2 — database and image hosting
WordPress / Polylang — site itself and multilingual support

Any data stored with these services is handled according to their own privacy policies.

Deleting Your Data

If you’d like your data removed, please contact the operator via Discord. We’ll do what we can.

Note: information already archived in the Hall of Fame may not be removable, since it’s part of a historical season record.

Disclaimer

This is a small, volunteer-run community project. We provide the Site on a best-effort basis and can’t accept responsibility for damages arising from bugs, outages, or issues with third-party services.
