“THE CHALLENGE”とは
私たちが提示するミッションを
クリアできるか
必要なのは頭脳、
勇気と少しの運
なにを使うべきか、
なにを温存するべきか
頼れるのは自らの経験のみ
“THE CHALLENGE”は
いくつかのシーズンにわたって
開催する予定です
Can you conquer
the mission we present?
You’ll need wit, courage,
and a touch of luck.
What will you use?
What will you hold back?
The only thing you can rely on—
is your own experience.
“THE CHALLENGE”
will unfold across multiple seasons.
Each one a new trial.
Each one a call to rise.
So ask yourself—
Do you have what it takes?
Step forward.
Face the unknown.
Prove your fire.
GG to everyone who took on Season 2!
You can check the list of successful challengers in the Hall of Fame below.
Open to all DCs.
We’ll run this across all DCs.
But for EU/NA, rewards will be handed over via the Materia server.
Keep in mind the reward system will be different from Japan.
About the rewards for “THE CHALLENGE”
If you’re taking on this challenge in
hopes of winning the prize money,
you’ll need to be able to place a mannequin in your room.
To do that, the fastest route is probably to raise
your Grand Company rank and purchase an apartment.
However, as you may know, sending
Crysta as a reward can be difficult—
because I personally use BitCash.
I’ll do my best on my end to find a way,
but if it becomes too complicated,
I plan to offer a higher gil reward as an alternative.
Your greatest enemy will probably
be a foe named “Ping”,
but know that your challenge
is truly welcome here.

Special Mission and
Champion Mission

The ADDITIONAL SP MISSION is a mandatory requirement for a clear.
You must hold at least the number of items listed in each sheet.
Exceeding the required amount is fine, but if you fall short, the challenge will be considered a failure.
Players who cleared the Special Mission in the previous season
are now required to complete the Champion Mission
to be officially recognized this time.
In other words, former champions must
face the new challenge with a handicap
— a kind of "defense battle" they must overcome.
You are not required to take on the Champion Mission this season.
However, if you're looking for an extra challenge
and want to test your skills, feel free to give it a try.
Best of luck!
WANTED
"HEALER'S FORAY"
Presented by Wasabi
A bounty of 500 million gil—
――"HEALER'S FORAY"
Take it, seize it,
fight and claim what is yours.

Man, I really want some pomanders… Wait, I GOT IT!!!!!!!
I’ll put a bounty on them and have someone bring me some!
And while we’re at it, I want a healer too—need that SWEEEEET HEALING!!
Oh, and treasure! Gimme TREASURE!!!
WHAT'S "HEALER'S FORAY"?
A bounty has been placed on pomanders—
a prize hunt fought among healers.
The basic rules are the same as “THE CHALLENGE.”
The only twist: bounties are awarded for pomanders beyond the designated number.
Rewards are performance-based.
Seize the maximum prize with your own strength.
The total bounty is 500 million gil, claimed by those who clear first.
Will you take your winnings this round,
or gamble on the next chance?
- Rules
-
・The basic rules follow “THE CHALLENGE” (including the requirement of video recording).
・The event will end when all bounties have been paid out, or one week after all missions of “THE CHALLENGE” have been completed.
・Reward priority will be determined by the time of report submission in Discord using the Ticket Tool.
・If even one pomander fails to meet the required number, the attempt is considered a failure.
・Since this event is separate from “THE CHALLENGE,” there are no participation restrictions.
・Each participant may only claim rewards once.
- About the Bounty
-
The total bounty pool is 500 million gil. Any amount exceeding that will not be paid.
For example, if four players clear and each earns 110 million, the remaining pool will be 60 million.
At the end of the event, up to 100 million gil of the remaining bounty may be carried over to the next round.
DD:HoH

Numbers are written in the lower-right corner of each pomander. That number shows the minimum amount you must hold.
Rewards are paid out only for any amount beyond that requirement.
For example, the required number for Flight is 1.
If you finish with 3 Flights, you’ll receive an additional reward of 20 million gil.
HOW TO JOIN "THE CHALLENGE"
We use Discord to handle all reports related to "THE CHALLENGE".
Therefore, joining our Discord server is required to participate in this event.
Each Deep Dungeon (DD) has its own specific clear conditions.
They are not easy—please be prepared before taking them on.
No pre-registration is required to attempt a challenge (Normal or Special).
In some cases, we may ask you to submit a video, even if it's set to unlisted, for review purposes.
Please make sure you're in an environment where recording or streaming is possible.
If you successfully clear a mission, please report it on Discord.
Submit both a screenshot of the clear and the video mentioned above.
Our support team will review your submission and confirm whether the challenge was completed.

- Clear Screenshot
-
Please make sure the following are clearly visible:
Remaining Magicite or Pomanders
Your job
- Clear Run Video
-
The video can be full-length or split into parts,
but at minimum, you must include footage of the final 20 floors:- PotD: Floors B181–B200
- HoH: Floors 81–100
- EO: Floors 81–100
This is to check for any possible cheating.
If you're doing a live stream and have viewers watching, the verification process can be done more quickly.
Regulations
- Rule 1|Priority of Special / Champion Mission Completions
-
- Special Missions (SPM) and Champion Missions (CM) will close as soon as the first completion report is submitted.
- A player who completed an SPM in the same Deep Dungeon (DD) during the previous season (hereafter "former champion") will only be officially recognized if they complete both the SPM and CM in the current season.
- The submission of a completion report marks a tentative deadline. Once the support team confirms the run, it becomes the official deadline.
- Rule 2|Recognition of Normal Mission Completions
-
- Normal Missions (NM) will recognize only the first player to complete each mission per DD.
- Once the report and video verification are complete, the run will be confirmed as cleared.
- A reward of 20 million gil will be granted to NM clearers, but no special Discord role will be assigned.
- Rule 3|Mission Difficulty Adjustments
-
- The difficulty of NM, SPM, and CM will be reviewed and adjusted prior to the start of each season.
- If no one clears a mission for an extended period, or if the admin team deems it necessary, difficulty may be adjusted mid-season.
- Any mid-season adjustments will be announced in advance on Discord.
- Rule 4|Fairness in Mission Completion
-
- NM and SPM/CM are treated as separate categories within the same DD.
If you complete one, you may not attempt the other within the same season.
-If you clear an SPM even once, you may not attempt the NM in that DD for that season.
-If you clear an NM, you may not attempt the SPM in that DD for that season. - These restrictions do not apply across different DDs.
- NM and SPM/CM are treated as separate categories within the same DD.
- Rule 5|Prohibited Use of External Tools
-
- All external tools that violate the FFXIV Terms of Service are strictly prohibited.
However, software that does not directly interact with the game, such as streaming tools (e.g. OBS) and Discord, is permitted. - To ensure fairness, video footage is required for all completion submissions.
- All external tools that violate the FFXIV Terms of Service are strictly prohibited.
- Rule 6|Role of the Support Team
-
- The support team will review submitted screenshots and videos to determine whether a mission has been successfully completed.
- If such footage is to be shared or published outside the Discord server, the support team must first obtain permission from the player who cleared the mission.
No footage will be shared without explicit consent.
- Rule X|Rule Revisions and Additions
-
Rules for “THE CHALLENGE” may be revised or added at any time if deemed necessary by the admin team.
All changes will be announced on Discord and will take effect immediately upon announcement.

Heads up! Prizes will be handed over through mannequin trades. (only120m reward)
Please set one up beforehand—make sure to check how to do it!
The Normal Mission is more of a beginner-friendly solo challenge.
The Special Mission, on the other hand, is for those who are truly confident in their skills — we encourage you to take it on.
- Is spinning (kiting enemies) allowed?
-
Yes — it’s considered part of your player skill. We see it as a valid strategy that reflects your own abilities as a runner.
- Can I only challenge one Deep Dungeon (DD)?
-
Nope! You're welcome to participate in all available Deep Dungeons.
- Where do the prizes come from?
-
All prizes are paid out of my own pocket.
As for the gil, it’s something I’ve been saving up little by little through submarine ventures.
(You’ll probably find tweets about treasure hauls and submarines if you dig through my Twitter. lol) - When is the next season?
-
For now, we’ll wait until all current challenges have been cleared.
Once that happens, we’ll launch a new season with slightly adjusted difficulty. - Can I post about this on X(Twitter) or social media?
-
Absolutely!
We’d love for you to share.
Please use the hashtag #DD_THE_CHALLENGE — we’ll be thrilled to see your posts, no matter how big or small.

Hi there! I'm Lyre Orpheus, a Miqo'te adventurer on Ridill, part of the Gaia Data Center.
For some reason, the locals call it "Metropolitan Ridill Village."
Kind of a contradiction, isn't it? A village... that's also a metropolis? lol
Anyway, I’m really glad to hear that you find "THE CHALLENGE" interesting.
Rather than simply burning through your POMs, I thought it might be fun to explore a different perspective—how far can you go while managing your resources wisely? That idea became the heart of this event.
If you like, consider this as just one of many ways to enjoy Deep Dungeons.
For example, set the same rules within your team, and see who can clear it the fastest.
It’s not just about skill—luck plays a huge role too.
I've included a link to our Discord server below.
Just a heads-up, though—it's mostly in Japanese, so it might be a bit challenging.
If more English-speaking players join, we might consider adding an ENG-ROOM.
That said, I personally believe that fragmenting the community too much isn't healthy, especially when the focus is the same.
But if there's enough demand, I'm open to the idea.
In any case, the most important thing is this:
I truly hope you enjoy our version of THE CHALLENGE.
I'm not very well-known in the Japanese solo challenge scene,
but I think if you mention that I'm the one who came up with a simple solution for Exaflare Frost, the boss on floor 99 of Eureka Orthos,
a few Japanese players might go, "Ah!" — or at least I’d like to think so. 😄
Aside from that, I also work with friends to release guide videos for Ultimate (UCOB/TEA/DSR, etc.) content in Japan.
Our group is called "Mintotto".
Some of the videos even include my POV, so feel free to check them out if you're interested!
