“THE CHALLENGE”
will unfold across multiple seasons.
Each one a new trial.
Each one a call to rise.

So ask yourself—
Do you have what it takes?
Step forward.
Face the unknown.
Prove your fire.

Open to all DCs.

We’ll run this across all DCs.
But for EU/NA, rewards will be handed over via the Materia server.
Keep in mind the reward system will be different from Japan.

Time Since Season 4 Start

SEASON 4 (in progress)

You must hold at least the number of items listed in each sheet.
Exceeding the required amount is fine, but if you fall short, the challenge will be considered a failure.

Rule 0｜Clear Report

• All clear reports must be submitted on Discord.
• The time of report is treated as a provisional deadline, and the team’s validation is the final deadline.
• If multiple reports overlap, the first submitted report is accepted, regardless of clear time.
• Screenshots and video are required for all reports.
• Submitted media may be published on the website.
• Videos must be public or unlisted.
• Missing required media will result in invalidation.
• At minimum, provide video for Floors 71–100.

Rule 1｜Special / Champion Missions

• First-time Special Mission clearers receive a special server role.
• Clearers of Special/Champion Missions from the previous season must clear both again in the new season for recognition.
• Clearing all four DD SP/CM missions in one season grants a Grand Slam, awarding a special role and 500 million gil.

Rule 2｜Normal Missions

• Normal Mission clears do not grant special roles.
• Players who clear a Normal Mission may attempt the Special Mission of that season, subject to Rule 4.

Rule 3｜Difficulty Adjustments

• NM, SPM, and CM difficulties are adjusted before each season.
• If necessary (e.g., no clear for a long period), difficulty may be adjusted during the season.
• Mid-season changes will be announced on Discord.

Rule 4｜Fairness

• NM and SPM/CM are treated as separate categories within each DD.
• Anyone who has cleared an SPM in a DD loses eligibility for that DD’s NM from the next season onward.
• If a past SPM clearer completes an NM in another DD during the season, they cannot attempt that DD’s SPM in the same season.
• Players who have never cleared an SPM may challenge the SPM after clearing the NM of that DD.

Rule 5｜External Tools

• Any external tool violating FFXIV’s terms of service is strictly prohibited.
• Non-interfering software (e.g., OBS, Discord) is allowed.
• A clear video is required for fair validation.

Rule 6｜Support Team

• The support team verifies all clears using submitted screenshots and videos.
• Media shared with third parties requires the player's permission.
• Website publication does not require permission.

Rule X｜Rule Updates

Rules may be added or revised whenever necessary.
Announced changes on Discord take effect immediately.

Season

Normal/Special & Champion

For EU/NA, rewards will be handed over via the Materia server. (ex. Bismarck)

Normal Mission

20m gil worth of exchange items
6 sets of Extravagant Salvaged Necklace
will be granted to the first player to clear each Deep Dungeon.

Special and Champion Mission

30m gil worth of exchange items (9 sets of Extravagant Salvaged Necklace)
+
100m OR one item of your choice*
will be granted to the first player to clear each Deep Dungeon.

*Please note that the 120m can only be claimed if you play on the Japanese DC

Please set one up beforehand—make sure to check how to do it!

The Normal Mission is more of a beginner-friendly solo challenge.
The Special Mission, on the other hand, is for those who are truly confident in their skills — we encourage you to take it on.

Is spinning (kiting enemies) allowed?

Yes — it’s considered part of your player skill. We see it as a valid strategy that reflects your own abilities as a runner.

Can I only challenge one Deep Dungeon (DD)?

Nope! You're welcome to participate in all available Deep Dungeons.

Where do the prizes come from?

All prizes are paid out of my own pocket.
As for the gil, it’s something I’ve been saving up little by little through submarine ventures.
(You’ll probably find tweets about treasure hauls and submarines if you dig through my Twitter. lol)

When is the next season?

For now, we’ll wait until all current challenges have been cleared.
Once that happens, we’ll launch a new season with slightly adjusted difficulty.
